Computer stations were designed to overcome two challenges: visibility due to over-sized monitors and limited floor space. Caper Chair by Herman Miller, Theimann Office Products.

24" Apple iMac Computer Lab

We took a corner of a local high school's library and rejuvenated it with this unique, tier seated, computer lab. This particular lab utilizes large 24" Apple iMacs. Due to the tall iMac, the desks feature a dropped tray. This feature, coupled with the tiered seating, allow for enhanced forward visibility.

This computer lab also features an electronic interactive whiteboard and elevated widescreen monitors. All The wiring for the computers, electronic interactive whiteboard, and widescreen monitors is housed within the desk structure and wall partition.

Electronic interactive whiteboard is visible from all three levels. Monitors for distance learning to be installed left and right of smartboard.

Recessed lighting built into the partition is decorative and functional, concealing all electrical components. Separate lighting controls allow maximum visibility within the lab while lighting in the remaining area of the room is undisturbed.

Partition panels echo the same design as the panels on station fronts.

Recessed trays in station design allow monitor, mouse, and keyboard wires to be placed out of the way of desktop space.

Total lab area is 26 in. from front to rear, and 30 in. wide. The lab accommodates 27 participants.

Additional handrails provide stability while accessing the elevated levels

Handrails were designed to complement the overall design theme, while providing additional safety features.

Front row seating will accommodate 7 students and is ADA accessible.

The mobile station has separate compartments for scanner and other required equipment.

Brackets for this partition were designed to accommodate technological equipment. Electric outlets are positioned at floor height. All additional electrical components are concealed within all wall partitions.

All wiring per station is concealed under and within each station. Footrails have been added for additional comfort.

The color scheme of the lab ties the look of the computer to the existing room

27" Apple iMac Computer Lab

This computer lab features 24 of Apples 27" iMac computers. Similar to the above computer lab, these desks feature a dropped tray to see over the computers. The room was engineered with a focus on sightlines and ergonomics.

This computer lab also features stainless steel desktops with a custom grind finish.
Three additional stand-alone desks share design cues with the student desks, such as the custom designed silhouette cutout of the schools mascot.

The stainless steel tops on all of the desks feature a unique grinding pattern on each top.

The teachers desk is 72 inches long and has a pencil drawer, 2 drawer cabinet on the right, and a 3 drawer cabinet on the left.

A large hand-painted mural of the schools mascot was done in the back of the classroom.

The desk design is part of our modular desk solutions, which can be adapted to fit in many
different room types and arc radii.

The dropped tray built into these desks allow for greater forward visibility.

Back row seating will accommodate 9 students and is ADA accessible.

The ground finish on the stainless steel tops complements the brushed aluminum of the iMac.

2 additional workstations were made besides the teacher desk, a 60 inch wide desk, and a 72 inch wide desk, shown in this picture.

Power and networking wiring is concealed under and within each station. Footrails have been added for additional comfort.

The color scheme of the lab matches the schools colors.

Elementary Learning Lab

"It's a jungle out there..."

This classroom was built for an elementary school, grades kindergarten through 4th grade. Previously used for storage, this classroom now features a jungle theme which slithers from the custom carpeting to the painted walls.

The adjoining lab features an electronic interactive whiteboard, and can be used for either regular classroom work, or as a station for mobile learning laptops.

The yellow lockers seen below in the image gallery were taken from an old locker room and refurbished for use in this room.

Manufacturing Themed Computer Lab

Utilizing space once occupied by an antiquated industrial arts class, this high school classroom now enjoys new life as a computer lab.

The most impressive feature of this lab is the creative design of the desks. The laser cut parts used to make the desks, handrails, footrests, etc. are cut from the sheet metal that make up the front of the desks. This design cue is even incorporated into the wall art, and can be used as an instructional tool for manufacturing classes.

This lab features 3 tier seating to best utilize the space and provide access to another classroom in its rear.

The computer towers and the wiring are hidden away for a clean appearance.
